IZZI increases number of channels offered to HDTV subscribers
From June 11 subscribers of IZZI digital TV can watch new HDTV channel.
Subscribers of digital TV, which enjoy benefits of high definition TV (HDTV), from June 11 in addition to already available channel VOOM HD can watch new channel HD Media.
HD Media channel consists of three different types of blocks of content. „Терра Инкогнита” reflects development of civilization, traditions, religions and perception of world by different nations. „Перпетуум Мобиле” is devoted to achievements of civilization in field of transport. Audience can see all kinds of transportation created by humankind – from “simple” wheel to space and underwater vehicles. Third program block – „Мир эстетики” is devoted to beauty industry, SPA, esthetic medicine, cosmetics and other related topics. Channel HD Media broadcasts 24 hours per day in Russian.
Enlargement of program is instant step in development of IZZI digital TV, increasing offer of HDTV programs. High definition television is embodiment of 21st century technologies and standard of future television. HDTV allows spectators to enjoy novel sound and picture quality and not just watch TV but enter into the spirit of what is happening on screen. High quality is ensured by highest picture resolution, which is 5 times higher than in standard TV as well as Dolby Digital space surround 5.1.
IZZI will continue initiated increase of channel offer by offering ever new possibilities for users of digital TV. IZZI was first cable TV operator, which performed tests of digital TV and in March 1, 2007 implemented first HDTV connection in Latvia. At current moment IZZI is the only company, which offers HDTV service. The goal of company is to be leader in HDTV offer area also in future, urging clients to be choosey and use opportunity to get knowing the world in high quality.
